“One of the best family vacations ever”

Spent the NY's week at this home. I must say it was one of the best family vacations ever. The home is perfectly located and very well appointed. The kids loved being able to fish of the L-shaped pier as well as swim all day. Management company was very responsive. The BBQ was broken and not only did someone come out to look they replaced it with a new one. Having a boat was a plus but not needed. Big Time fish and tackle located steps away was the place for rod rentals and bait. Awesome week and fantastic house. Thank you

We rented this home in early August 2014 and it exceeded our expectations. The home is beautifully decorated with upgrades throughout. The layout is perfect! There was 9 of us..4 adults and 5 children. The kids had their own space upstairs and the adults bedrooms downstairs. There is a very open floor plan for the living room, dining area and kitchen with glass across the back of the house with a view of the pool. The canal access was great to pull up to, unload gear with a separate garage area for storage. There is an outside shower that worked great to rinse off before going inside. I would highly recommend this property. It provided a perfect place to stay for our vacation.

“We rented the property early April 2014. Property is very clean and very well maintained, quiet and private. Fantastic furniture layout, crisp clean bed linens, shower towels, pool towels, not much was missed. Fully stocked kitchen and new appliances. Bring plastic cups for outdoors. Short walk to Marathon Lady, party boat and Capt. Hook's. They have outdoor ponds with tarpon, sharks, grouper and more. Short walk to canal bridge with a fantastic view of the ocean and the house. Iguanas run free, two manatee visited the canal side, pretty birds. Great fishing from the docks. Get bait, chum and a fishing license at Capt. Hooks! Bring your rods! Or just feed fish (small amounts of dry oatmeal) from the docks. Many pretty colored fish will visit. Sunrise over the trees and the moon rising are beautiful. Clear, pretty water. We had no children along, but this home could make an ideal rental location for families with children and/or elders. Heated swimming pool, fishing and grilling, all outside. Fenced in property, open dock area. Easy to keep watch while having fun. We were a group of six adults, 4 siblings and 2 spouses 50+. Plenty of room for all of us. Two adult bedrooms, LR,DR, kitchen and two bathrooms all on lower floor. Privacy/romance for a couple, in master BR, even amongst a houseful. Also person/s with limited abilities will have lower floor access to all. Upper floor has (adult) bed room, great hall bath and an awesome nautical theme children's room, which works great as an adult room too. Publix market, Walgreen's nearby. Spirit snorkeling. Bahia Honda park has sandy beach area and swimming (tide permitting). There was a fee, per car but not excessive. Geo-caching in the area. Seven mile bridge area, we ate at Castaways, nice place. In my opinion, this Marathon rental location enables doable day trips east to Key Largo or as far west as Key West. Get early start! Kayaks and jet ski rentals are nearby, quite a few shops will deliver them to dock. Tide at the house docks runs very swift most times. I do not recommend kayak departure or swimming from the house's dock. Nearby mangrove areas are ideal for kayaks. If you visit Islamorada, Robbie's is great. Feed huge tarpon, eat, shop and/or kayak. Bus/trolley service is available. Didn't use them, cannot comment on it, except to say its available. Recommend car though.

“We spent a week at this wonderful house. It was perfect for our ladies getaway. There was plenty of room for all of us. The pool and deck were great for lounging around and soaking up the atmosphere! The house was beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked, there were hairdryers in each bathroom and the beds were very comfortable. The location had easy access to shopping, walking and restaurants. We loved being right on the waterfront. We would definitely rent again.”
